Haven Labs
From incubation through to full realization.
Collaborative Innovation
Our innovation labs will be environments for project funding, team building and collaboration. Funded projects can access a range of support services and expertise to enable discoveries in pure sciences, innovations in engineering, computer science and social initiatives.
Funded by philanthropy, we will also partner with other innovation labs, business incubators and external funding institutions to ensure that each project is optimally supported.
In parallel to philanthropic funding will also work with private enterprise to enable appropriate commercial utilization of selected discoveries and inventions. This strategy will enable longer-term project funding that combines nonprofit and/or private enterprise elements.
Holistic Innovation
ORGANIC STRUCTURES
In terms of structure and operations Haven Labs will be similar to a private startup studio, or even a corporate Incubator or commercial accelerator. Working on a selective basis with innovators to support and develop an idea, we will have the capacity, infrastructure and funding to support ideas to full realization. We will also be adaptable in terms of funding, team building, project roadmaps and potential outcomes.
CONFIDENTIAL & SAFE
To develop these innovations Lab Participants will be able to share radical ideas, work within or outside of core domains and feel secure in attempting new endeavors. Working privately they will not be bound by a fear of failure that could affect longer term academic or scientific careers. The labs are driven to find solutions that support the world and are inclusive and safe environments.
ECOSYSTEM FOCUS
We are a part of the world and not separate from natural ecosystems. For humanity to thrive we must do so in harmony with the world and with each other. We need to develop long-term solutions that are holistic, inclusive and supportive of our world. We need to protect and nurture the Earth, and pursue technologies that are regenerative and not exploitative.
